The service was created in 2024, but it originates with the beginnings of FCSD to ensure social protection.

Brief definition

We are a service that identifies and addresses the social needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

We offer listening and support to help you identify, assess, and respond to different social, family, or personal difficulties.

We work in coordination with social, health, and educational services to provide the best possible response.

Our goal is to detect and address situations of vulnerability or social risk in people with intellectual disabilities.

Social intervention and personalised follow-up

We provide personalized and ongoing support when we detect that you are in a difficult or at-risk situation. We develop a plan to help you become more independent and improve your daily life.

We inform and guide you on procedures and resources related to:

We provide training for professionals to identify situations of risk.

Yes. We support the whole family environment, not just the person in a situation of disability.
🔹 Is a diagnosis required to access the service?
Yes. A diagnosis of Down syndrome or another recognised situation of intellectual disability is required.
🔹 Do you provide in-person support for completing procedures?
No, but we explain how to do them and what you need.
🔹 Is it necessary to book an appointment in advance?
Yes, it is important to book an appointment to receive proper support.
🔹 Can you help in cases of violence or social risk?
Yes. We identify these situations and refer you to specialised services.
🔹 Can you help us plan for the future?
Yes. We help you decide where the person will live, who will support them and what supports they will need.
🔹 What happens when caregivers grow older?
We help you anticipate changes and find alternatives.
