Brief definition

We are a service that works alongside people with intellectual disabilities to raise awareness in society.

We offer you the opportunity to take part in self-managed spaces to advocate for your rights and put your freedom of expression into practice. Promote your talent and launch activism initiatives.

Our goal is to give you a voice, a vote, and recognition so that you can become a person who is a role model in your community.

Three distinguishing features

1. Unique projects. We have launched Èxit21, ADHMT, and the #Talents editorial collection. All of them are participation projects led by people with intellectual disabilities.
2. Exclusive cognitive assistant. We support you with a professional to ensure cognitive accessibility in external environments.
3. In-house content production. We publish articles, videos, and books, and carry out communication initiatives led by people with intellectual disabilities.

"Make the world a fairer place."
Weekly members’ meeting where decisions are made on how to advocate for human rights, especially the rights of people with intellectual disabilities. We organize talks, advisory services, tailored training, and other activities to raise awareness within FCSD and our community.

We promote talent and social recognition. We publish books by people with intellectual disabilities.

We offer cognitive support to you and your environment for civic participation.

Partnerships and recognitions

🔹 FCSD has a comprehensive quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, with certificate number C746343 issued by DNV.
🔹 We collaborate with the self-advocacy networks of Dincat and Down Catalunya.
🔹 We regularly publish articles in Diari de la Discapacitat and Social.cat.
🔹 2016/2026: Montserrat Vilarrasa, as a member of ADHMT, is the first person with an intellectual disability to hold the position of Board Member for Intellectual Disability on the Governing Council of the Municipal Institute for People with Disabilities (IMPD) of the Barcelona City Council.
🔹 2018: Montserrat Vilarrasa participates in the Municipal Plenary of the Barcelona City Council for the approval of voting rights for people with intellectual disabilities.
🔹 2019: Montserrat Vilarrasa participates in the drafting, writing, and signing of the Declaration of Women with Disabilities in Political and Public Leadership Positions, in collaboration with UN Women.
🔹 2019: ADHMT participates in the Human Rights Plan of Catalonia.
🔹 2021: ADHMT delivers Human Rights training to various self-advocacy groups of Down Catalunya.
🔹 2025: Andy Trias receives the Persevera Award for his inspiring and persevering career.
