Child Development and Early Intervention Centre (CDIAP)

We are a pioneering service in Catalonia that originated alongside the creation of FCSD in 1984, before the public early intervention network that we helped establish.

To request a first appointment at CDIAP FCSD:

  • The child must be under 6 years old.
  • The child must live in: Esquerra Eixample, Sant Antoni, Sant Gervasi – Galvany, Sant Gervasi – Bonanova, Tres Torres or Putget – Farró (Barcelona).

If the conditions are met:

  1. Click “FIRST CDIAP VISIT”.
  2. Choose a day and time.
  3. Fill in:
    • Child’s full name
    • Mobile phone number and email
    • Reason for the request
    • Who referred the child to CDIAP
    • Date of birth
    • Street address
    • Parent or legal guardian’s name
    • Notes (if needed)
  4. Send the request and confirm it using the code sent to your email.

On the day of the online appointment, you will receive an email with the Meet link for the interview with a CDIAP professional.

All requests are reviewed. If needed, the family will be contacted to move the appointment earlier.

Brief definition

We are a public service that supports children aged 0 to 6 and their families.

We offer prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment when needed. We guide you to help create the conditions necessary for healthy development.

We coordinate with teachers, doctors, and other professionals who know and support the child. Services are provided at our center and in natural environments such as school, park, or home.

Our goal is to promote healthy child development and adapt the family, school, and social environment to the specific needs of each child.

Three distinguishing features

1. Quick response. We provide appointments quickly (usually within less than 30 days). You can choose the type of support and also change professionals if needed.
2. Family at the center. We involve everyone who cares for the child. We share information clearly and provide reports at the end of each process.
3. Quality support. Diagnoses are carried out with the participation of the entire professional team.We offer a wide range of treatments tailored to each case. We continuously improve and hold an official quality certification.

Prevention

We help children grow in a healthy way.

Detection

We identify whether there are any developmental difficulties. We listen to you and guide you from the very beginning.

Diagnosis

We assess what each child and family needs. We carry out a comprehensive diagnosis.

Treatment

We provide therapies and support. Each child and family receives the support they need depending on their situation and stage. We offer more than 30 activities and treatments, such as family support groups, psychomotor therapy, and aquatic therapy.

Families with children aged 0 to 6 with developmental difficulties who live in the assigned areas.
🔹 Do you have to pay for the service?
No. It is a public and free service.
🔹 Is a medical referral required?
No. You can also access the service directly, without a referral.
